A Community of Care
We endeavor to:
Provide a listening presence for people through crises, transitions, and difficult situations;
Provide temporary relief in times of need;
Be present with people in their pain, loss, struggle, anxiety, and joy;
Relate gently to individuals as whole people;
Members are encouraged to reach out in their times of need.
What is Spiritual Care?
Spiritual care helps people address spiritual, religious, and existential questions through active listening in the presence of a clergy person or trained spiritual care team member. While spiritual care is inseparable from and beneficial to overall health, it is not a replacement for therapy, a skilled caseworker, social work, rehab, or resource management.
Reasons for Spiritual Care:
Going into the hospital
Life changes
Personal loss
Ethical or religious questions
Relationship trouble
A death in the family
Addiction support
Rite of Passage planning
Spiritual discernment
