ARTIST STATEMENT
We are a work of art. As a sculptor/painter, I work to capture the visual spirit and flare that reflects the art in us. Art is a further glance at what is and what can be in life. I want to accentuate and preserve the humanizing connection to art. My passion is to capture our spirit, flare, and movement in artful presentation.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In Holding Up the Heavens, one finds unifying images ideal for what the world could be. As you study and imagine, you decide the meaning and how you feel. Art is in the eye of the beholder.
WOMAN: Strength, Gentleness, Inclusiveness, Unity, Struggle, Spirit. There is enough for all beings on earth.
FEET: Rooted, Balance, Power to Lift, Carry
FACES: Difference, Diversity, Inclusivity
FISH: Migration of all people, Ability to feed the multitude
ROSE: Renewal, Rebirth
UNITY BANNER: Liberation of all people, Justice, Fairness, Peace, Liberty
RIVER: Movement, Resource, Provision
Artists in the Light
