Welcome to our website!  We are the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington, KY, (UUCL, for short), a diverse group of individuals believing the spectrum of liberal religious thought and social action. We welcome everyone in our spiritual journey, and into our community of trust.

We invite you to our Special Page for Visitors and Newcomers, or use the tabs on the left of each of our main pages to explore on your own.

You can make your financial contributions to UUCL online though PayPal.
Visit our
donations page for more information and a link to the appropriate PayPal page.

News

Summer Worship Times

This summer, we plan to stay with the usual 11:00 am starting time for our Sunday services.  (In past years we have moved our worship services up a bit earlier during the summer months.)

Sermons Online - Updated

We now have audio files of some of Rev. Cynthia Cain's recent sermons.  Visit our Sermons Page for a list of the sermons/homilies to choose from.  Two additional sermons were added to the list on June 22.

Rain Barrel Project

Rain barrels are a fundraising project for the church, and support our environmental mission. They keep excess runoff out of the storm sewers, and provide free water for your yard and garden. Everything necessary to connect to your gutter downspout is included, and they come with either one faucet at the bottom ($65), or one at the bottom with a second 1/3 of the way from the top ($70). Send your check to the church office. If your check is received by Wed., your rain barrel will be waiting at church on Sun.

The Unfettered Pulpit

Mind/Body Connections

It would be nearly impossible to send individual thanks to each person who sent me cards, food, phone messages, Facebook notes, prayers, books, food, flowers and “white light” (which may or may not be anything real but always gives me a big laugh, which definitely is healing) during my recent illness. If you feel you need more information about me and my internal organs, read on! Otherwise, know that I am grateful and that I will be back on the job as soon as I can healthily do so.
