Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington

Summer Time Religious Exploration at UUCL:  U Create!

From May 30 to Aug. 8, the Youth Religious Exploration program takes a break from regular classes. We still have activities for children and youth during the 11:00 service however. The summer 2010 program is called U Create. We will be doing a variety of creative projects using recyclables & reclaimed materials, while caring for our planet. See the list below of items to donate, most of which can be rescued from your recycling containers.

We will also have a Children’s Garden behind the classroom wing where we will be creating outdoor art and caring for our fruits and vegetables. There should be plenty to eat too! Music is a fun way for people of all ages to be creative and we are planning on having many music making and instrument creating opportunities!  We even have some Lexington jugglers coming to help us toss things around with style! Other things we might do include duct tape creations, herb gardening, and screen printing.
